Be part of the solution and make a difference
Everybody needs a friend – someone you can rely on to be there when you need them most. Not a vague acquaintance, but someone who thinks of you when things are going well and is ready to help when they are not.
PAPAA has always worked quietly to make a difference that is often invisible. Much of this work is hard, slow and painstaking, but it is needed. We watch how health and care are changing, we speak up when something is not right, and we alert those who can act when it matters.
Having a good friend is a bit like an insurance policy you hope you won’t need, but are glad is there “just in case” – and fully there when you do, especially as life changes. Our work changes and adapts too, as the world around us does. We are moving into a time when more pressure will be placed on individuals to take responsibility for their own care. The NHS 10‑year Plan aim is to move more of that responsibility into the community and towards self‑reliance.
That is why we need friends as well: listening, supporting, and non‑judgemental. Most of us have someone like that in our lives. We are inviting you to be that kind of friend for PAPAA – to support us in the same way we support people affected by psoriatic disease. It is a mutually beneficial alliance; “alliance” is in our name because we believe in allies, friends and people who know what to do and when to do it.
Please consider becoming a Friend of PAPAA today. Go to our friends page and be that difference.
