At PAPAA, we are committed to providing information on psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis that is accurate, balanced, evidence based and trustworthy.
Our information is developed to help people better understand these conditions, their impact, and the treatments and support that may be available.
We know that medical information can sometimes feel complicated or difficult to follow. Our aim is to explain things as clearly as possible, using language that supports understanding and helps people feel more informed and confident when making sense of their condition and care.
How we develop our information
We use a consistent and documented approach when producing our information materials. We draw on reliable and credible sources of evidence, record those sources, and review our content regularly so that it remains relevant and up to date.
We also recognise the importance of lived experience. We listen to the people we support through feedback, surveys and engagement, and we involve people affected by psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis in the development and delivery of our information where appropriate.
Our standards
We aim to write in a way that reflects health literacy, digital literacy, language and accessibility needs, so that our information is easier to read, use and navigate. We also work to ensure that our content remains independent and free from commercial influence, in keeping with PAPAA’s patient-centred and ethical approach.
We provide ways for users to comment on and respond to our information, and we use feedback to improve what we do. We also review the reach and impact of our services so that we can respond to changing needs and continue improving access to support.
Our commitment
This pledge reflects PAPAA’s commitment to improving understanding of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis for everyone affected by these conditions, including patients, families, carers and professionals.
